The Leo Triplet is composed of three galaxies, M65, M66, and NGC 3628. Galaxies are much farther away than individual visible stars, and these three galaxies are about 35 million light years distant. NGC 3628 (southeast in the photo) is also known as the "Hamburger Galaxy."
