The Cygnus Wall is a small part of the North American Nebula. The black circular area to the right side of the photo is analogous to the Gulf of Mexico. The reddish ridge of star formation is about 2200 light years distant. This photo was taken in Grand Marais, Michigan on September 2nd, 2024.
